HOT-TAPs expands the product line to include the new application PIPELINE SURVEYS which is a complete line of on-stream, in-line, inspection services. The TDW mechanical KALIPER SURVEYOR is an inspection tool to record the magnitude and location of reductions which result from dents, buckles, out-of-roundness, gouges, and flat spots.
The features of the MAGPIE SYSTEM are:
High-resolution technology
Precise Hall effect sensors 95 % first run success rate
Customized report options (using Microsoft Access)
The benefits of the MAGPIE SYSTEM are:
Economically priced
Compact length eliminates the need to modify existing launchers and receivers
Robust construction means the tool is less likely to be damaged so re-run or repair cost are less.
HOT-TAP offers a wide range of solutions to stay on stream and in service:
HOTTAPPING and STOPPLE OPERATION. CLEANING PIGS and PIPELINE SURVEYS of pipelines. PIG LAUNCHER and RECEIVER for launching and receiving pigs. PIPE PLUGS, FLANGE WELD TESTERS, INTERNAL WELD TESTERS, GAS BAGS, for plugging, separating, and pressure test of pipelines
HOTTAPPING is a method for accessing the inside of an operating pipeline, which is normally done through a valve and branch connection welded on to the existing pipeline.
The STOPPLE PLUGGING serves as temporary mechanical block valve to insolate a section of line for relocation, repair, without any kind of interrupting service. A bypass can be installed in order to keep the line in full service.
HOT-TAP offers PIGS that cleans, de-waters, separates, batches, and serves a host of other purposes. The PIG LAUNCHER and RECEIVER are designed to insert and remove pigs in an operating pipeline.
PIPE PLUGS applicable for temporary plugging off or sealing pipe ends. HOT-TAP delivers Low Pressure Pipe Plugs, Inflatable Pipe plugs, and High Pressure Pipe Plug.
The FLANGE WELD TESTER applies for easy pressure tests of the weld area on new on-welded flanges, without testing the remaining pipeline.
The INTERNAL WELD TESTER is suitable for easy pressure test of the weld area on pipelines, without testing the remaining pipeline.
GAS BAG for low pressure temporary separating of open pipe ends. The features of the gas bag are that it can be set and removed through a small entrance and then inflated in the pipeline. The heat resistant version is used when cutting or welding pipelines.
HOT-TAP is placed in the middle of Denmark in the city of Kolding. Since the establishment in 1991 HOT-TAP has been working with the above mentioned activities.
HOT-TAP works offshore and onshore on all types of pressure set pipe systems. Our target area is Scandinavia including Finland. HOT-TAP is the representative for T D WILLIAMSON U.S.A. and uses their equipment and technology.
