Scanel International A/S is an international company founded in 1991, owned by Ole Hansen and Palle Lavrsen. With an ever increasing number of projects within the naval sector and growing expertise within this area, Scanel have taken the logical step and focused its energy entirely on ship yards, off-shore and naval sector.
Today Scanel has a turnover of approximately 250 million DKK and employs about 300 people working in a number of countries. From offices in Frederikshavn a team of 45 employees serves as the company’s backbone and here they coordinate and oversee the company’s many international activities.
In November 2001 Scanel stated its mission as follows: Scanel must stand out as a supplier of integrated technical systems, equipment, installation and service to the international naval and off-shore sector.” A mission which Scanel today lives up to together with a high level of trust and credibility among customers, suppliers and partners.

Engineering Scanel offers engineering and project management for our customers in regards to new constructions, reconstructions and modifications. Our experienced engineers and project managers are highly educated specialists, who have experience with integrated solutions and who in coordination with our customers deliver complete package solutions to ship yards, naval- and off-shore sector the world over.
Service Service is very important to Scanel. Our customers are entitled to a credible partner, who lives up to the trust that ship yards, shipping and off-shore companies give us. Scanel has highly educated and experienced employees on call 24 hours a day and are ready to service our customers all over the world.
Installations Scanel is a preferred partner when it comes to electrical design, engineering as well as installation of sprinkler and ventilating systems. Furthermore, Scanel offers design and installation of decorative lighting. We deliver a wide range of naval products and do adaptation on existing installations and equipment. All installations are conducted in accordance with international classification societies and national merchant shipping legislation.

Through great experience and an extensive network, we are able to repair damages from fire, water etc., which can influence the running of the ship/plant. Our network makes it possible for us to quickly deliver electric parts and cables regardless of origin and rarity, and we are therefore able to repair the damage, quickly and effectively.
